Using agents

Agents

Create an agent from a task, shape its instructions, pick its model, start new conversations, attach images and schedule recurring work.

An agent is a name, a set of instructions and a model. You give it work in chat, and it runs on the server with real tools: it searches and updates your Records, builds funnels and, when you allow it, sends outreach.

Create an agent from a task

On the home screen, describe the job in the composer and press Create agent. The task becomes the agent's instructions, the agent is named for you, and its chat opens with the task already typed so you can send it or adjust it first.

A good first task
Every Monday, find 40 dental clinics in Austin with no website and draft a WhatsApp opener for each.

You can also press Create agent on the All agents page without a task. The new agent starts with no brief: describe the job in chat and it writes its own instructions from the conversation.

The idea library

Below the composer, the idea library offers ready-made tasks in seven categories: Prospecting, Funnels, Outreach, CRM, Deliverability, Analytics and Business. Clicking a card fills the composer. Each card shows how ready it is for your workspace:

LabelMeaning
ReadyWorks end to end today with what you have connected.
Connect XThe agent can do it, but a platform it needs isn't connected yet.
PartlyThe agent can't do every step of this yet. It will do what it can.
Not availableWaiting on an integration Dexisphere doesn't have yet.

The agent workspace

Opening an agent shows its name, a Sending on or Sending off pill, your token balance, and four tabs:

  • Chat: the conversation. Replies render as formatted text, with copy and read-aloud buttons.
  • Workflows: idea cards for this agent, plus Scheduled work.
  • Plugins: workspace connectors and skills.
  • Settings: sending, Ask before sending, model, channels and usage.

Instructions

Instructions are the brief the agent follows on every task: what it's for, who it works for and how it should behave. Press Instructions in the agent header to edit the Name and Brief, then Save instructions. Plain language is fine, and Markdown works too.

You don't have to open the editor to change them. Tell the agent in chat and it can rewrite its own instructions. When that happens, the reply carries an Updated its instructions badge; click it to read the new version.

Change the brief from chat
From now on, write every email in British English and keep it under 120 words. Save that to your instructions.

Choosing a model

Each agent thinks with one AI model. Open Settings → General → Model and pick from the Anthropic Claude, OpenAI and Google Gemini families, or leave it on Workspace default. Each option notes what it's good at, such as most powerful, best balance or fastest and cheapest. The change applies from the next message.

New conversations

Each agent has one continuous chat thread. New conversation in the header gives you a clean thread by creating a copy of the agent, named <name> clone <n>, with the same instructions, model and sending settings. Your earlier conversation stays on the original agent, which you can reopen from Recents or All agents.

  • Channel links (WhatsApp, Telegram, extension), history and usage stats stay on the original agent. They aren't copied.
  • A copy you never use is cleaned up: if you open it and leave without sending a message, editing it or pairing a channel, it's removed quietly.
  • Pressing New conversation again on an unused copy opens that same copy instead of making another.

Clone, rename and delete

Every agent has an actions menu (the button on its card, or in its header) with:

ActionWhat it does
Open chatOpens the agent's conversation.
RenameChanges the agent's name. The instructions stay as they are.
CloneMakes <name> copy with the same instructions and model, but an empty thread.
Copy IDCopies the agent ID, useful when you contact support.
DeleteAsks you to confirm, then permanently removes the agent, its instructions and its conversation. Linked channels stop working.

All agents lists every agent with search, a grid or list view, and sorting by last edited, created, or name A–Z and Z–A.

Attaching images

Use the image button in the composer to attach screenshots, flyers or photos of business cards. Images upload as soon as you pick them, and the agent receives a link to each one with your message.

  • Up to 4 images per message.
  • Each image must be under 5 MB.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP.

The composer also has a dictation button in browsers that support speech input. Enter sends a message and Shift+Enter adds a new line.

Scheduled work

Agents can run tasks on a schedule, like a Monday report or daily reminders. There's no separate scheduler screen: you manage it in chat, and the agent's automation tools do the work. The Scheduled work panel at the top of Workflows has three shortcuts:

  • Show scheduled asks the agent to list every automation: what it does, how often it runs, when it runs next and its ID.
  • Schedule a task starts a draft that begins "Set up a recurring task:" for you to finish.
  • Stop one starts a draft asking the agent to cancel an automation by ID.
Schedule from chat
Set up a recurring task: every weekday at 8am, list the deals that need a next action today and create a task for each.
